As per the Supreme Court judgment dated 30th January 2018,
Pakistani MBBS students studying medicine abroad are free to apply for MBBS
admission transfer to other universities or colleges abroad and are still
eligible to sit for the FMGE/next licensure exam conducted by NMC.
Q4: Can
Pakistani MBBS students from foreign universities transfer to Pakistani
universities?
Can't. According to the latest NMC guidelines, the National
Medical Council does not allow the transfer of foreign medical students to
Pakistan Institutes.
Q5: When
doing a university transfer in the middle of an MBBS program, is NOC compulsory
at the current university?
Yes. MBBS students must obtain a No Objection Certificate
from their current university to initiate the university transfer process.
Q6: Does
the score of the first year of the MBBS program affect the transfer to a medical
university?
Only if the student has passed the first year of his/her MBBS program. If a student fails any subject in the first year, he will not be eligible to apply for MBBS Migration at any time during the MBBS course.
